SORSOGON CITY- former Governor Raul R. Lee formally takes over the reigns of the province of Sorsogon. Gov. Raul R. Lee took his oath as the last June 30, 2010 before his wife, the incumbent Governor Sally A. Lee. He vowed to pursue the programs and undertakings that his wife has vigorously implemented and pursued.
In an unprecedented vote over his closest rival, former Governor Raul R. Lee won the governorship of the province last May 11, 2010. Edging former Sorsogon 2nd district congressman Jose G. Solis by 99,421 votes, the former governor swiftly won in an election which looked like a hot contest at the start of the campaign period.
Vowing to pursue Governor Sally A. Lee’s program with the acronym of H.E.A.R.T.S. –Health, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development, Tourism and shelter, the incoming governor re-iterated his total commitment to his wife’s priority programs, which have benefit numerous poor Sorsoguenos. According to Governor Raul R. Lee, he will see to it that those programs that had been undertaken by the incumbent governor will be further reinforced and will be implemented to the fullest. He further adds, that the programs and projects made possible by international donor agencies that are lined up for implementation are likewise to be implemented this year. Included for implementation are those projects intended for the construction of rural Health units and improvement of different district hospitals of the province.
Taking cue from his “MULA NOON, HANGGANG NGAYON...MAASAHAN” slogan during election, Governor-elect Lee promised to pursue all programs that would ease the hardship of the inept Sorsoguenos. |
